The Bielefeld Exchange Programme is a fantastic opportuninty for the South African Research Chair in International Law to build research networks with the University of Bielefeld. Thanks to the generous support of SARCIL, Antonie has already made contact with the Institut für interdisziplinäre Konflikt- und Gewaltforschung (IKG) and the Bielefeld Graduate School for History and Sociology (BGHS). These institutions offer a deep connection to the German academic landscape. The connections made in Bielefeld will be continuosly cultivated in order to broaden the research landscape and network at SARCIL.

Advanced International Criminal Law Course attended by Antonie Klopper (LLD candidate)- Course presented by Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Kyiv-Ukraine
Thanks to SARCIL, Antonie Klopper has now enhanced his understanding of genocide in international law and gained inside knowledge and field knowledge from an active warzone alongside students in Kyiv studying the effects of an active war in their country. Antonie passed the advanced course with a mark of 80%, thus passing with distinction.
